MIA to Wilton Manors

Direct to the Island City and the Drive

30 miles45-60 minutesFixed fare from $94

Wilton Manors calls itself the Island City because the two forks of the Middle River wrap it almost completely, and the geography gives the town a self-contained, village-like feel just two miles north of downtown Fort Lauderdale. Its heart is Wilton Drive, one of the most celebrated LGBTQ+ main streets in the country, lined with bars, restaurants, shops and the arts center, busy every night of the week and joyfully packed during Stonewall Pride each June.

From MIA the trip runs about 30 miles and takes 45 to 60 minutes. Drivers take I-95 North to Oakland Park Boulevard or Sunrise Boulevard, then cross the river into the island grid. Guesthouses and vacation rentals cluster on the residential streets off the Drive, and short-term rental addresses can be genuinely confusing after dark, so we confirm the exact door, not just the street, before your flight lands.

The fare is fixed from $94, and the service runs on the clock the neighborhood keeps: landings at midnight and pickups at 4:00 AM are normal here, and a pre-booked car with your name on a sign beats hunting for a ride-share zone with luggage at either end of the night. Waiting time after landing, MIA parking, tolls and flight tracking are all included in the quoted price.

Visitors usually split their stay between the Drive and the water, morning coffee at a cafe on NE 26th Street, an afternoon paddling the Middle River loop, then dinner and a show in the evening. The beach at Sunrise and A1A is fifteen minutes east when you want sand. Groups coming down for Pride or a birthday weekend should look at our Sprinter, which moves fourteen people from MIA in one booking and drops everyone at the same guesthouse door.
